Michael McCormack
Raised in Ireland, Michael has loved horses and the American West since he was a child. After a detour as a sheep-shearing cowboy in Australia, Michael landed in New York City in the mid-80's and has worn a number of hats since then: from managing a dude ranch in the Catskill mountains to a variety of food and beverage management and sales positions in North Carolina, Maryland and Las Vegas. In addition to the tasks around the ranch, Michael is employed in management in the food service industry (healthcare, corrections, and schools).
Catherine McCormack
Born in the United States, Catherine spent her first 18 years in Latin America. After college, she went to work in sales and marketing for hotels in New York City, North Carolina and Maryland. Following stints in non-profit tour planning and retail management, Catherine manages the day-to-day operations of the ranch while also working on temporary assignments on Fort Huachuca.
After a long search for a location in which to create a bed and breakfast, Michael and Catherine are thrilled to be living in this beautiful corner of the American Southwest. Married for 33 years, they are avid travellers, hikers, and explorers.
Resident dogs include Porter and Quinn (mutts), and Odin, a Bernese Mountain Dog.
Rounding out the ranch is quarter horse Patron, mule Rita, and miniature donkey Magdalena. We also have two indoor cats, Roxanne and Evita Peron.
